TO 
OBTAIN A REPORT IN PERSON:

You may obtain a copy of a crime report or an accident report by visiting the Safety Building located at 525 N. Erie. The Records Bureau is open to the public Monday—Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

There is no fee for a crime report involving one incident. However, requests for multiple reports involving different incidents may be subject to a fee.

TO OBTAIN A REPORT THROUGH U.S. MAIL:

If you choose to obtain a copy of a crime report by US mail you must provide some necessary information. This includes the name of at least one of the following: a victim, a witness, a suspect, or a reporting person.  You must also advise what the incident involved (e.g. Theft from a Motor Vehicle, Burglary, Assault, etc.) as well as a location and date of the incident.  If you have the police report number you should include this with your request.  Send the above information along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to:
